Canada and Harlequin

Harlequin Enterprises is a Canadian company but there has never been much of Canada in Harlequin. That was true in the early years and, I suspect, even less so now. Most of the 30 non-fiction titles published from 1949 to 1959 have a strong Canadian content. But the same cannot be said for the 447 fiction titles.

Two examples have been discussed here and here. A third example is below. The story is American, the author British but we see a nice touch from Friede, the artist. The figure on the bill may look like Einstein but is Sir John A. MacDonald.
